Cup sampler

A cup sampler, also known as a cup sampler or scoop sampler, is a device used to sample bulk materials. It is usually a long rod or tube with one or more cups or cups attached along its length, which can be opened or closed to hold a sample of the material.

Cup samplers are often used in situations where it is necessary to take samples from different depths or from large containers or silos. They make it possible to obtain representative samples from different depths or areas of the material without the need to mix or disturb the entire material. This can be especially important if the material is deposited in layers, or if there are differences in the composition or quality of the material in different parts of the container.

To take a sample with a cup sampler, the device is inserted into the material, and the cups or cups are opened to accommodate the material. Then the cups or beakers are closed to hold the sample securely while the instrument is removed from the material. This process can be repeated multiple times to take samples from different depths or areas of the material.

Cup samplers are available in different sizes and designs, depending on the specific requirements of sampling. They can be made of various materials, including stainless steel, plastic, or other materials, depending on the specific needs of sampling.
