DAkkS Calibration

DAkkS stands for "Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle," which is the national accreditation body of the Federal Republic of Germany. It is responsible for accrediting testing and calibration laboratories, inspection bodies, and certification bodies. Accreditation by DAkkS certifies that these entities meet the high technical competence requirements set forth in international standards.

A "DAkkS calibration" refers to a calibration performed by a laboratory accredited by DAkkS. Calibration is the process of comparing the measurement values of an instrument or system with the measurement values of a standard or reference to ensure accuracy and reliability.

In the context of sampling bulk materials, a DAkkS calibration may be relevant, for example, for scales, measuring instruments, or analysis devices used in the sampling or analysis of bulk materials. Regular calibration of these devices is important to ensure they operate accurately and reliably, and that the sampling and analysis results are trustworthy.

A DAkkS calibration offers the advantage of being performed by an independent, accredited laboratory that has demonstrated compliance with high technical and quality requirements. Additionally, each DAkkS calibration is accompanied by a calibration certificate documenting the calibration results and traceability to national or international standards. This can be particularly important in regulated industries such as food, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries.
