Data Logger

A data logger is an electronic device used to collect and record information about time and/or location. In the sampling of bulk materials, a data logger can be used to capture a variety of data, including the time and location of sampling, temperature, humidity, and other environmental conditions. It may also record data directly from the sample itself, such as chemical composition or particle size.

The advantage of a data logger is that it can automatically and continuously collect data, often over an extended period, and under conditions that may be difficult or impossible for humans to handle. The collected data can then be downloaded for analysis or, in some cases, transmitted in real-time.

A data logger can also be connected to other devices, such as sensors or sampling equipment, to capture additional data. For example, a data logger could be connected to a device that takes samples of bulk materials to gather data about the sampling process itself, such as the amount of material collected or the sampling rate.

It is important to note that the specific requirements for data loggers and the type of data to be collected may vary depending on the industry and applicable regulations.
