Sampling

"Sampling" in the context of bulk material refers to the process of selecting and collecting representative samples from the bulk material. The bulk material can include ores, coal, sand, grains, or other materials in loose, unpackaged form.

Sampling is typically done using specially designed equipment and methods to ensure that the collected sample represents the entire lot. These sampling devices may vary depending on the type of bulk material and the specific requirements of the sampling process. They could include shovels, tubes, automated systems, or other devices.

The collected sample is then usually sent to a laboratory for analysis and/or testing. It is crucial that the sample is representative to obtain accurate and reliable results. This can impact quality control procedures, product certifications, research and development, and other important aspects.
