Sampling Drive

The term "sampling drive" refers to the system or mechanism that enables the movement or action of the sampling device in an automated sampling system. This mechanism ensures that the sampling device is moved to the right place at the right time to take a representative sample of the material.

There are different types of drives that can be used depending on the application and the type of material to be sampled. These may include electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, or mechanical drives.

For example, an electric motor may be used to move a sampling probe or arm over a conveyor belt or into a silo. A pneumatic or hydraulic drive could be used to push a sampling probe tip into the material or pull a sampling head through the material.

The type of drive depends on many factors, including the physical properties of the material (such as density, consistency, and abrasiveness), the required sampling speed and frequency, available power sources, and the specific requirements of the sampling process.
